Empty seats are an organiser’s most expensive mistake

Attendance drives everything: revenue, atmosphere, the TV picture, sponsor value and the event’s legacy. FullStadia makes sure the stands are full — and that every seat pays its way.

We work where three disciplines meet: ticketing, hospitality and spectator experience. They are usually run separately. The winners are those who connect them.

Our core expertise is maximising ticketing revenue while giving spectators an outstanding experience. We know how to make money — and how to make fans happy.

Team

FullStadia — a world-class team of experts

FullStadia is a small but exceptionally experienced team of ticketing practitioners. We have seen the industry from every side of the table: at ticketing operators, on the organiser side and inside major arena and stadium teams. So we understand each party’s interests and constraints — and build solutions that work for everyone involved.

Founder — Dmitry Perlin. One of the few specialists who has led ticketing and spectator experience at the world’s biggest events:

  • 10+ years advising the International Olympic Committee on ticketing programmes and related areas
  • Advisor to the International Chess Federation (FIDE)
  • Director of Ticketing and Spectator Experience, Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games — the programme was recognised as a benchmark for efficiency and spectator experience
  • Guest lecturer at the Russian International Olympic University: ticketing, hospitality, spectator experience and fan engagement
  • 20+ years in IT and business automation — systems integration, ERP implementation and data management; led teams of up to 200 people and projects with revenue of over $220M
  • Projects at the Games in PyeongChang, Tokyo, Beijing and Paris, FIFA World Cups, Formula 1 Grands Prix and the Universiade
  • Project geography: Europe, South Korea, Japan, China, Russia, the USA, the UK, India, Qatar and Uzbekistan

Dmitry combines deep expertise in ticketing and spectator experience with 20 years in IT — which lets him design the most effective architecture for automation and systems integration.

Public speaker, jury member at professional awards and mentor to sports-tech start-ups.

What we do

Three disciplines — one system

Ticketing programmes

Ticketing isn’t logistics — it’s revenue and attendance. We build the entire ticketing programme: from pricing strategy to access control and secondary-market policy.

  • Pricing strategy and yield management
  • Demand forecasting and sales planning
  • Ticketing platform selection and integration
  • Distribution channels and partner sales
  • Access control and anti-touting measures
  • Allocations for sponsors, federations and teams

VIP hospitality

A premium product that commands a multiple of the base ticket price — if it is designed right. We develop the hospitality line-up, from boxes and premium areas to packages and service standards, and take it all the way to sales.

  • Hospitality product and premium area design
  • Packaging and pricing
  • Sales and corporate client management
  • Service standards and F&B
  • Hospitality for sponsors and partners
  • VIP guest and delegation management

Spectator experience

Full stands come back when people want to be there. We design the entire spectator journey — from buying a ticket and getting to the venue to the atmosphere in the stands and the impression that brings them back for the next match.

  • Fan journey mapping
  • Wayfinding, entry and exit flows, queue management
  • Digital experience: apps, cashless, screens
  • Atmosphere, activations and crowd engagement
  • Accessibility and inclusion
  • Measuring experience: surveys, NPS, analytics
Spectator experience

Nobody buys a ticket today. Everyone buys an experience

A ticket is just a pass. People pay for emotions: the anticipation, the atmosphere in the stands, the goal or the finish they saw with their own eyes, and the story they will tell their friends. If the experience fails at any stage — from a clumsy purchase to an hour-long queue on the way out — they won’t come back, whatever the ticket cost.

That is why we design one coherent spectator journey — from the first contact with the event to the moment it is over.

  1. 01

    First contact

An ad, a post, a friend’s recommendation. This is where expectations are born — and later have to be met.

  2. 02

    Choice & purchase

Clear categories and prices, checkout in a couple of minutes, fair refund and transfer rules.

  3. 03

    Anticipation

The time between purchase and the event: useful updates, a venue guide, building excitement.

  4. 04

    Getting there & entry

Transport, parking, wayfinding, fast entry without queues or stress at security.

  5. 05

    At the venue

Seat and view, food and drink, atmosphere, half-time shows and service — everything they came for.

  6. 06

    Exit

An orderly exit and a smooth journey home: the last impression is remembered as well as the first.

  7. 07

    After the event

A thank-you, photos and video, a survey, an offer for the next match — that is how a spectator becomes a regular.

/Revenue

Happy spectators spend more on site and come back. A returning fan is the cheapest next ticket you will ever sell.

/Reputation

Reviews, social media and the broadcast picture are made in the stands. A bad experience is visible to everyone.

/Attendance

Full stands rest on spectators who return, not on one-off promotions.

We design every stage as part of one system — together with ticketing and hospitality. Spectators don’t see the boundaries between contractors: for them, it is one event. That is how we built the Spectator Journey for the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Approach

How we work

We work for results, not for slide count. At the start of each project we define and agree metrics and KPIs with you — and then we are accountable for measurable, real improvements against them.

01

Diagnostics

An audit of ticketing, hospitality and spectator experience. We look at data, sales, processes and where value is being lost.

02

Metrics & KPIs

Together we define and lock in the key indicators: attendance, revenue, hospitality share, spectator retention and return, NPS. We agree which numbers we are accountable for.

03

Strategy

Pricing model, product line-up and sales plan built around the agreed goals.

04

Implementation

System setup, team training, sales launch and on-site support.

05

Results

We measure against the agreed KPIs, report and optimise from match to match and season to season — until the numbers genuinely improve.

A benchmark ticketing programme

Challenge
Launch ticketing and spectator experience for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games from scratch — including test events, sales, IT integration and on-site service.

1.1M+

tickets sold for the Olympic Games

  • A record 316,200 tickets for the Paralympic Games — almost 40% more than Vancouver 2010

Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix · Sochi Autodrom · 2019–2022

Full stands without relying on free tickets

Challenge
Build Formula 1 ticket sales that both fill the stands and make money: the circuit holds 55,000–60,000 spectators, with up to 2,000 in VIP boxes that generate up to 30% of ticket revenue. Almost two-thirds of spectators travel from other regions.
What we did
Developed the ticketing sales strategy, supported the selection of the ticketing operator and ran the programme from on-sale to the chequered flag of every season — from 2019 until the Russian Grand Prix came to an end.
×2

ticketing programme revenue — roughly doubled

  • Over 95% of tickets sold — maximum occupancy
  • Free tickets cut many times over, to the minimum possible
  • Lower ticketing operator costs
Zotov Centre · Moscow · Launched 2022

A ticketing programme for a new centre — from scratch

Challenge
Launch sales for a new cultural centre in Bread Factory No. 5, a 1931 Constructivist landmark. Four floors of exhibitions, two cinemas, a lecture hall and a children’s club meant very different products: exhibition and guided-tour tickets, cinema, concerts, lectures by registration and children’s course passes.
What we did
Before opening, we developed the complete ticketing strategy and ran the ticketing operator selection for all of the centre’s formats. After launch, we supported the programme in operation.
100,000+

visitors in the centre’s first year

  • Opened on 23 November 2022
  • Over 30,900 visitors to the first exhibition in 95 days

FIDE World Rapid & Blitz · New York, Wall Street · 2024

A Wall Street sell-out in under a month

Challenge
Stage the World Rapid & Blitz Championships in the US for the first time — on Wall Street, at Cipriani Wall Street and 48 Wall Street. 300+ players, a prize fund of almost $1.5M, and less than a month before the start to launch sales.
What we did
Launched a turnkey ticketing programme with dynamic pricing — single-round tickets, day passes and VIP packages. Ran all digital advertising, VIP sales, spectator experience, operations and on-site support, and advised FIDE.
Sold out

across all ticket categories, including VIP

  • Under 30 days to launch the entire turnkey ticketing programme
  • The first World Rapid & Blitz Championships ever held in the US
  • “The strongest chess tournament in U.S. history” — according to FIDE

Why us

Why FullStadia

/Mega-event experience

Olympic Games, FIFA World Cups, Formula 1, the Universiade, FIDE world championships, advising the IOC. We have worked where the cost of a mistake is highest.

/One system, not three contractors

We run ticketing, hospitality and spectator experience as a single whole. It is where these disciplines meet that the most is lost — and earned.

/International context

We understand the requirements of international federations and work where local specifics meet global standards.

/Measurable results

We speak the language of attendance, revenue and spectator retention — not presentations.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Who do you work with?

Event organisers, international federations, leagues, clubs, arenas and organising committees.

When should we bring you in?

The earlier the better — it is cheaper to build a strategy in than to rebuild it later. But we can also join mid-season or partway through preparations.

Do you only work on major events?

Scale varies — from a club’s regular season to a mega-event. The principles of filling stands work at every level.
